There is a neat, new free service on the market right now aimed at both students and teachers. Launched in late JUNE 2011, this cool new study notes online tool features a revolutionary system that allows you to easily upload all of your study notes or lessons plans, and store them online. The system immediately goes to work creating a searchable data base of all of your notes, featuring note pages with automatically generated links to other relevant pages of notes you have.

Essentially they build a cool website out for your notes that looks and feels a lot like Wikipedia – but it’s all about your notes. It does not end there. Studyup allows you to network with other students studying similar subjects or topics. The StudyUp “StudySpider” scans your notes and cross references your information with all notes in the StudyUp database. Recommendations are then made to the user for networking opportunities.

Much like Facebook, StudyUp allows you to search for other students in the same school, class, or even the same subject as you. You could be studying Physics in Vancouver, Canada and become study buddies with another, same year physics student in Florida. You can share certain subjects with only certain people, and use the StudyUp User Home Page to get instant updates when Study Buddies in your “Feed” upload new notes to StudyUp.

There is a useful study skills tips section as well that features articles written by users on various subjects. You can also like StudyUp on Facebook, and follow the progress as the team builds new features to make teacher & student lives easier and more efficient.

Overall this looks like a promising new site. The best part of all, as part of the launch program, for a limited time only, StudyUp is offering to PAY students to get their notes live on StudyUp.
